What to Expect

We would love to have you come by and visit us at First Baptist Church. Because visiting a church for the first time can be a frightening experience, we would like to let you know what you can expect when coming to our church. Guests are always welcome and we hope this helps! Please contact us if you have any more questions.

When Are Your Services?

Our morning worship service begins at 10:30 a.m. It lasts approximately one hour and fifteen minutes. At 9:00 a.m. we provide Bible study classes for children and adults of all ages. We typically serve coffee at 10:00 a.m. so come early and get to know us. Our greeters or someone at the information table can help you find the class locations or the nursery.

hearing-handicap-logoHearing assistance devices are available to you during all of our Worship Services. Visit our Sound Booth at the back of the auditorium or ask a Greeter or Usher for assistance.

What Are Your Services Like?

We believe you will find our services to be worshipful as well as warm, friendly and down-to-earth. We worship the Lord together with a mixture of hymns and choruses, read Scripture together and study the Bible together. Our services are a time where you can worship God and get to know Him in a better way on a personal level. You can catch up on messages that you missed by streaming or downloading from our media page.

Am I Going to Stand Out As a Visitor?

You will not stand out when you visit our church. There will be greeters at our entrances to welcome you and answer questions or provide information about our church, but no one will point you out in an embarrassing way during our service. We desire our services to be a time when you can worship the Lord and get to know about our church. For this reason, you will not be made to stand out.

What Should I Wear?

Do I dress casual? Like I’m going to work? Like I’m relaxing with friends? Like I am going out for dinner? Well, the easy answer is, “Yes!” When you arrive at our church, you will find some business casual, some “Sunday Best”, and some dress casual. We aren’t concerned with what you are wearing when you join us… we just want you to join us.

Is There Something for My Children?

Yes, there is! Children are welcome to worship with you during our services, and we also offer a number of ministries for your children to get involved in including:

  • Nursery (for all services)
  • Cry Room equipped with video & audio (next to the Nursery)
  • Children’s Church during the morning worship service
  • Sunday School and Student Bible Fellowships
  • Awana and Middle School on Wednesday nights
  • High School youth group on Sunday nights
