“Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”
2 Timothy 2:15
Exciting Awana Clubs meet each Wednesday night from 6:00 to 7:30 pm with age appropriate clubs for three years old through fifth grade. Awana’s Trek program is our weekly middle school event. Please click this link for the 2022-2023 season schedule.
A typical Awana Club night includes a Bible lesson, Scripture memorization, small group discussion, snacks and game time. Our main emphasis is helping children to better know and understand God’s Word. We believe we can best accomplish this goal by having our adult leaders spend time in small groups with the students to guide them in this learning process. Our Awana leaders are prescreened, trained adults and well-supervised high school student leaders who genuinely care about sharing God’s Word through children’s ministries.
Club Locations:
All of our Awana Clubs meet in the Ministry Center, our main church building.
If you have any questions about the Awana Clubs at First Baptist Church, including transportation needs, please contact the church office at 812-635-9200 or e-mail us.
Awana is an international ministry that helps churches and parents raise children and youth to know, love and serve Christ. Each week, more than 1.5 million kids take part in Awana through more than 22,000 churches in the U.S. and around the world. Your children will find a safe and welcoming environment with lots of friends, games, snacks, and Bible discussion. Club members receive recognition awards and have special theme nights every week. Our leaders are trained, pre-screened adults and well-supervised high school students who love working with kids. You do not have to be a member or attend First Baptist Church to be part of Awana Prix.
