In his book, Living Beyond the Limits, Franklin Graham wrote about fearing for his own life while in war-torn Angola in the early 80’s. “Fear cannot take hold unless it is fed, if we dwell on a perceived threat, panic will take over. If we dwell on Christ, peace will prevail.” Admittedly there is no shortage of issues that pull us in directions we want to avoid. In these moments, we chose whether to be pulled apart or put together by a loving Creator. Closing our eyes is not an option but a choice to leave God out of the picture. What we feed will continue to breed. May we as Christ-followers never lose the wonder of our Lord who never stumbles, slumbers or is startled by anything I encounter.
